Tim and Louise Smith have both been around wine all their lives, the dreamer in the family, Tim, saw an opportunity to expand and use their knowledge of wine when the liquor laws changed to allow wine bars in Sydney. The original premise of Timbah was three garages and a unit.
Tim had the vision to see that the space would make a friendly meeting place. The transformation was three years in the making, from first council application to the final space of Timbah, and was the first bar in Sydney allowing the consumer to choose the glass of wine for pour. Timbah finally opened to long anticipated locals in February 2011. Tim and Louise are not the only ones that make Timbah an enjoyable experience, with a wonderful team of talented and enthusiastic people makes Timbah the place to be.
